The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives people in the EU, EEA and UK specific rights over their personal data. This page describes who controls your data at AI4WEB, what we process, on what legal basis, and how you can exercise your rights. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
Who we are (the controller)
For account, billing and website-builder data, the data controller is AI4Web Private Limited, PN 27, 28, Tegor Nagar, Ajmer Road, Vaishali Nagar, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, 302021. You can reach us at info@ai4web.in for any privacy matter. If you are a visitor to a website built on our platform, that business is the controller of the data it collects about you; we act only as its hosting processor and will redirect your request to the site owner.
What data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, country and, optionally, phone number and business name.
- Website-build inputs: the business information you enter in the wizard — services, locations, photos, opening hours and contact details — used to generate your website.
- Payment data: handled by third-party payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay). We store only a payment reference, the amount and the transaction result; card numbers never touch our servers.
- Usage and analytics data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed and timestamps, used to operate, secure and improve the service.
- Support communications: the content of emails you send us, kept so we can serve you and maintain a record.
Lawful bases for processing
We process personal data on the following lawful bases: contract (to provide the service you signed up for — accounts, builds, hosting, billing), legitimate interests (operating, securing and improving the service, preventing fraud and abuse, and communicating about your account), consent (optional analytics and marketing cookies where consent is required), and legal obligation (tax, accounting and regulatory requirements).
Your rights under GDPR
- Right of access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"): request deletion of your personal data — see Data Deletion.
- Right to restrict processing: ask us to limit how we process your data.
- Right to data portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to object: object to processing for marketing or based on legitimate interests.
- Right to withdraw consent: withdraw any consent you previously gave.
- Right to lodge a complaint: with the data-protection authority in your country.
Exercising your rights
Email info@ai4web.in with your request. We will respond within 30 days. If we need to verify your identity, we may ask for additional information — only as much as necessary. Requests are always free of charge.
International data transfers
Our infrastructure and sub-processors operate in multiple jurisdictions, including India, the European Union and the United States. Where personal data of EU/UK residents is transferred outside the EU/UK — for example to US-based hosting or analytics providers — we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or an adequacy decision, together with supplementary technical measures such as encryption in transit and at rest. The current list of sub-processors, their roles and locations is maintained on our Sub-processors page.
How long we keep data
We retain account and website-build data for as long as your account is active, so your site keeps working and you can restore previous builds. After account deletion we keep only what the law requires: financial and billing records for typically seven years under Indian regulations, and minimal security logs for a short period. Everything else is deleted or anonymized — see Data Deletion.
Data Processing Agreement
If you use AI4WEB in a business capacity and act as a controller under GDPR, our Data Processing Agreement is available to you — it can be downloaded, countersigned and returned to us at no extra cost. It incorporates the SCCs and sets out our processor obligations, including security measures, sub-processor flow-down and breach notification.
